• 2 inch x 2 inch GHS Flame Vinyl Label

As of June 1, 2015, the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) will require pictograms on labels to alert users of the chemical hazards to which they may be exposed. Each pictogram consists of a symbol on a white background framed within a red border and represents a distinct hazard(s). The pictogram on the label is determined by the chemical hazard classification.

The GHS Flame is used to denote:

  • Flammables
  • Pyrophorics
  • Self-Heating
  • Emits Flammable Gas
  • Self-Reactives
  • Organic Peroxides

Properly label your hazardous chemicals with GC's GHS Health Hazard Pictogram Labels. The UN Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of classification and labeling of chemicals is used to:

  • Enhance the protection of human health and the environment by providing an international system for hazard communication
  • Provide a recognized framework for countries without a system
  • Reduce the need for testing and evaluation of chemicals
  • Facilitate international trade in chemicals whose hazards have been properly assessed and identified on an international basis

These labels use the standard GHS pictograms to depict the recommended measures that should be taken to minimize or prevent adverse effects resulting from exposure to a hazardous product. They also instruct users how to minimize improper storage or handling of a hazardous product. The Flame pictogram symbol is printed on red framed, 50 x 50mm, paper labels. These labels are sold in rolls of 500.
